CA-SOTS Writing Fellowship

Wanting to give youth the platform to express their opinions, get journalism experience, and become more involved with the chapter, the California Chapter started a writing fellowship! The fellows creatively express their opinions on relevant political and legislative issues. Managed by Eunwoo and Adi this is a unique opportunity only available to members of the CA Chapter!

Get to Know Your Government- Women in Government

On April 9th, 2021 our California Chapter hosted a Get to Know Your Government event about the realities of being a woman in the political process. With panelists like Mayor Farrah Khan, Councilor Nithya Raman, and Assemblymember Laura Freidman, the chapter hosted over 70 youth in a discussion about female representation and women's issues.

Teens for Vaccines Town Hall 

Partnering with Teens for Vaccines, Protect Us, and Gen-up the California Chapter hosted a town hall with Senator Dr. Pan to answer any youth questions about the vaccine and the COVID-19 pandemic.
